So I have added a good variety of music to the playlist. I can honestly say I've listened to the playlist for hours and enjoyed it thoroughly. But, now I don't have enough time in my schedule to fit in more time to nose around the playlist. So hopefully come Christmas I can devote some more God forsaken hours to the format and maybe produce some station identification splitters.
Fffffffuuuuuuuuu... Going to keep raging uncontrollably until then. |

Our regular streaming servers have gone down. We plan on eventually moving things to a more stable environment in the near future, but probably not until the end of summer or early fall.
In the meantime I have procured a temporary server to broadcast from. Because this server is from a free host, the current song and list of what's been playing will not be available.
Once we can get things moved, you can expect to see a much more notable update to Radiogrounds as a whole. |

My stuff is all going into storage now for my big move so the server will be down until PsychoGoldfish finds the time to find a resolution on his end of things to replace me. I will be back at the end of summer. So A-Bots podcast and my Tuesday show are on haitus until then.
Warning: spoiler alert.
PG said to me he had some fancy idea of implementing a system that directly relays audio from the portal without any relays from anybodys computer. So when he does get A-Bot up and running things should be much more swag.

So right now things for me are very up in the air. I may or may not be attending University next year, and that will determine what will be happening with me after the summer. As I said before I would be gone for the summer but I intended to just leave RG playing while I was gone. Unfortunately though my residence is being moved around and now my vacation looks more like a homeless venture across BC until I get to my two month job in lower main land.
So what I am saying is... May 1st, RG will be pretty much down 100% unless PsychoGoldfish wants to do something about that.
Everything will be back September 1st. Most likely. My computer's going into storage etc.
The track info is back up because I went back to Ubuntu because I finally got around to updating. Hip hip hooray... |

Nothing like this has been seen since the 2004 Indonesian tsunami that claimed over 200 000 lives which was 9.2 on the Richter scale. Well, Haiti sucked total nuts too. Hopes and prayers going out to them for their current crisis. |

In the future you can expect a larger harmonization of the audio portal. Right now there's over 400 000 songs in the audio portal and it takes time and patience to pick out the good ones that should be played regularly. If you listened to Radiogrounds every day for 5 hours a day in a week or two you would probably of heard most of the songs on here.
PsychoGoldfish has hinted at new servers in the near future after the large migration from his current box onto the fancy new one. When that will be I am not sure, but hopefully some time soon.
Many people complain about the current bitrate and I have to say that while it is slightly diminished there's very little difference between 96 kbs to 62 kbs as long as they have the sample rate of 44 kHz. You can go as low as 22 kHZ mono. Personally I am more worried about the latency of the stream because of the low out put of some wireless routers. Did you know that 120 kbs would equal over 120 megabytes in under an hour when it could of only been 40? Adds up.
I will be going on vacation for a while so the smaller than preferred playlist at the moment may get repetitive for you if you listen to Radiogrounds every day.
The track update feature will be back shortly, most likely when the radio's playlist gets larger and stronger.
